Fundamentals of Chromatography for Research

The EMS Energy Institute maintains a suite of chromatography and spectroscopy instrumentation available to any faculty or student at the University who has a research need. Researchers will learn more about our facilities and the capabilities of our analyzers.

General Overview
Dongxiang Wang, research associate at the EMS Energy Institute will present a 1 hour workshop to provide an overview of basic chromatographic technique and applications as well as information on how chromatography can be a powerful detection tool when used with other techniques, such as mass spectroscopy or high performance liquid chromatography. Following a presentation and discussion, a demonstration will provide researchers with a thorough understanding of the analyzers available at the EMS Energy Institute and their capabilities.

Who Should Attend 
Anyone who wishes to learn about the analytical capabilities available through the EMS Energy Institute. This workshop is appropriate for students, research staff, and faculty.
