The EMS Energy Institute energy outreach efforts are structured to provide technical support to the clean energy industries in the U.S. and abroad. Linking technical research expertise and programs, and when needed the development of new initiatives, is vitally important to the development and expansion new energy technologies.
Our four primary energy outreach activities are to bring together and link expertise, to develop industry-driven partnerships, to support energy education events, and to provide technical services to the energy industries. Some examples of these efforts include:
- Analytical Research Group
- Center for Quantitative Imaging
- Penn State Coal Sample Bank
- Argonne Coal Sample Bank
- Hardgrove Grindability Index (HGI) Standard Reference Samples
