Penn State Managed Consortium Highlighted in Fossil Energy Today

The most recent issue of Fossil Energy Today, a newsletter produced by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), discussed the new technologies that have resulted from the Stripper Well Consortium (SWC). These technologies, many of which have been commercialized, improve environmental protection while helping independent oil and gas operators.

The SWC is an industry-driven consortium that was established in 2000 through a cooperative agreement between DOE and Penn State. The EMS Energy Institute at Penn State is responsible for the management of the consortium.
