The Stripper Well Consortium hosted a 2½-day summer meeting (June 22-24) at The Inn on the Lake in Canandaigua, N.Y. for SWC proposal review and current project status updates. Fifty-one attended with nineteen participating in the optional pre-conference field trip.
The pre-conference field trip included the following site visits:
Hydroacoustics, Inc. - Acoustic technology potential and use in stripper wells.
Titus Brothers 3 site (Lenape well #421)- Brine Remediation test site - SWC funded brine remediation project, RTA Systems, Inc. "Soil Amendment Product for Oil Field Brine Contaminated Soil"
Oniel well site (Lenape well #29)- GOAL Pump test site - SWC funded GOAL pump technology, Brandywine Energy "Retrofit Stripper Wells with Open Hold Completions with GOAL RetroPumps to Enhance Performance"
In response to the Request for Proposals, twenty proposals were received on June 3, 2010 for consideration for funding with a total of $4,018,847 of which $2,086,596 was requested in SWC funds.
The Executive Council recommended eleven projects for co-funding totaling $684,043 at the 2010 SWC Summer Meeting. The 2010 recommended for funding are:
